Mr. Boris Sopira (Director of Internal Policy Department), President of the Slovak Presidential Palace, and Mr. Pavol Sedlacek, head of Trencin, where the new plant is located, Mr. Wu Wenya, representative of the Economic Affairs Office of Taiwan in Slovakia, and Mr. Adisak Panupong, Ambassador of Thailand to Austria, attended the event. The opening ceremony was kicked off by the speech of Mr. Zheng Chonghua, founder and chairman of Delta Electronics Group. The group then visited the new factory in Delta.

Delta chose to build a factory in Slovakia, mainly to provide better services to customers in Europe. Slovakia is located in the heart of Europe and is an excellent strategic location for both production and logistics. Slovakia has a progressive environment, a preferential tax system, highly qualified and motivated talent, and a flexible human market. Delta has also established a number of international clients here.

Mr. Zheng Chonghua, founder and chairman of Delta Electronics Group, said in his opening speech that the new Slovakian plant will become Delta's headquarters in Eastern Europe, which will not only provide better services to customers in Europe, but also provide the best for future long-term development. support. Mr. Zheng also expressed his gratitude to the Slovakian government: "The Slovak government is committed to improving the investment environment and has successfully attracted the attention of many world-class companies." Mr. Zheng further said, "This is Delta's first in Slovakia. A big investment, I hope that everything will be successful. We want to build a productive, competitive, and at the same time a win-win situation for employees, communities and the environment."

Delta's new plant in Slovakia uses advanced technology to produce power supplies and a variety of power products such as rectifiers, switches and controllers. These products can be used in communications, information technology, industrial automation and medical products. The new plant will provide sufficient capacity for Delta's future growth in Europe. Delta plans to expand its product range, such as automotive electronics, fuel cell power converters, and other advanced products currently only produced in Asia. Slovakia is expected to bring more business opportunities to Delta with its central location and the booming automotive industry in Europe.

The investment in plant and equipment of the new plant in Delta Slovakia exceeds US$20 million. The first phase of operation is expected to require 800 talents. The Sri Lankan government also granted Delta a tax concession of approximately $7 million. The new plant began construction in July 2006 and completed its first production line in February 2007. Adhering to the environmental awareness of Delta Group and the mission of “providing innovative products with high energy efficiency and pursuing better living products”, the design of the new Slovakian factory is also very environmentally friendly. The walls and roof of the plant have a good thermal insulation design with a K value of less than 0.19 watts per square meter, which is much lower than the official Slovak standard value of 0.30 watts. We not only use environmentally friendly building materials that are environmentally friendly, such as rock wool, mineral wool, etc., but also successfully recycle the heat energy wasted during the construction process.
